SPECIAL TELECONFERENCE: On April 25, 2008, the commission voted to adopt the Final Order denying MEC Oregon Racing, Inc.'s request to amend its current license to include Electronic 1-2-3 with Pick N wagering.

UPCOMING MEETING: The next regularly scheduled commission meeting will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008 at 1:30 pm at the Portland State Office Building.

Mission
The Mission of the Oregon Racing Commission is to regulate and to facilitate all aspects of the pari-mutuel industry in the State of Oregon for the benefit of the citizenry, the licensees, the participants and the State of Oregon.

The Oregon Racing Commission was established in 1933 as part of the Pari-Mutuel Wagering Act and has the authority to regulate horse and greyhound racing in the State of Oregon.

The Oregon Lottery and casino gambling are regulated by other agencies.
